Privacy policy

The game collects nothing about you.

Alpenhollow: Village Reborn ("the game") is made by Jafforge ("we"). This page explains what the game and this website do with information. If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected].

In short: no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no game server of our own. Your village stays on your phone and in your own iCloud or Google backup.

What the game stores

Your village, levels, stars, coins, boosters, decorations, collection and settings are saved on your device. We never receive them.

Backup of your progress

So that your village comes back if you delete the game or change phones, the game keeps a copy of your progress in your own account: iCloud on iPhone, and the Google backup of your phone on Android. Apple and Google store that copy under your account and under their own privacy policies. We cannot see it. If iCloud or Google backup is switched off on your device, no copy is made.

"Reset progress" in Settings replaces the cloud copy with a new game. You can also delete the copy in your iCloud or Google backup settings.

Leaderboard (optional)

If you are signed in to Game Center on iPhone or Google Play Games on Android, the game sends your total star count to that service so it can show a leaderboard. This happens under your own Apple or Google account, and your name and picture on the board follow the settings of that account. We receive nothing. The game plays the same without it.

Reminders (optional)

If you turn on the daily gift reminder, the game asks your device for permission and schedules a notification on the device itself. No server is involved. You can switch reminders off in Settings or in your phone's notification settings.

Level statistics (optional)

In Settings you can switch on "Help tune levels". The game then counts tries and moves for each level on your device. Nothing is sent unless you tap "Send level stats", which opens an email draft that you can read, edit or discard. The email contains level numbers and counts only.

Third parties

The game contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software from third parties. Apple and Google may collect standard store, purchase and crash information under their own privacy policies when you download or use apps from their stores.

This website

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Its fonts and pictures are served from the site itself. It is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse. If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you and keep them as long as the conversation needs, and we delete them when you ask.

Children

The game has no ads, chat or user-generated content, and the only external link is the optional email draft described above. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data about players, there is nothing to look up or delete on our side. Your rights over the data held by Apple, Google or Cloudflare are set out in their own policies. For anything we hold, such as an email you sent us, you may ask to see it, correct it or have it deleted, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If the game starts to handle information differently, we will update this page and the date above before the change reaches the game.
